Engine assemblage

THE GENERAL DATA

Engine assemblage is described in corresponding sections. At engine assemblage it is necessary to observe following general instructions.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Before assemblage check up, whether details are cleared of pollution and extraneous particles.

2. On all moving parts it is necessary to apply a thin film greasings. It needs to be made before assemblage, instead of after assemblage as in this case oil can not get to rubbing surfaces. Especially important plentifully to grease with impellent oil pistons, piston rings and walls of cylinders.

3. Carefully clear all parts of the block of cylinders if the engine has been completely disassembled. At partial dismantling watch that extraneous particles have not got to not removed parts of the engine or hollow volumes. All apertures stick or close rags.

4. Oil channels and apertures is better blow compressed air. If compressed air is not present, channels and apertures close wooden заглушками, at all the metal. Sealing rings and linings always replace new. In no event from economy do not apply old sealing elements.

5. In Specifications values of a limit of deterioration of the majority of moving parts are resulted. If concerning any detail there is a doubt or its deterioration is close to a limit, it is better to replace a detail with the new at once.

6. All spare parts are necessary for getting in firm Opel representations. Thus it is necessary to specify engine number. As changes are constantly made to an engine design, only the representative of firm Opel can guarantee to you the corresponding spare part.
