The general information

The engine is equipped by circulating system of cooling. For circulation of a cooling liquid serves лопастный the water pump. The cooling system works with a separate broad tank.
The cooling system carries out tap of the superfluous heat arising at work of the engine, in environment. The part of energy of combustion of fuel in the engine is allocated in the form of heat. It warmly in a condition in the shortest possible time to heat up the engine to such temperature which can put it out of action. The part of this heat is used for heating of salon of the car. Thanks to corresponding placing of pipelines, the heat exchanger (radiator) and the thermostat fast warming up of system is reached.
The thermostat carries out regulation of temperature of a cooling liquid in the engine and the heat exchanger of internal system of heating depending on a thermal condition of the engine.
Since certain temperature, the thermostat connects a radiator to a contour of circulation of a cooling liquid. At the further increase of temperature of a liquid the fan directing a stream of air through a radiator and joins, provides, thus, additional cooling of a circulating liquid.

On manufacturer the system is filled with a cooling liquid which should not vary within a year.
At preparation of a cooling liquid it is necessary to maintain a certain parity of antifreeze and water. As it was already mentioned, it is necessary to apply the cooling liquid recommended by firm Opel as its chemical compound is specially developed for the engine of the given car. Volumes of operational liquids are resulted in Specifications. The liquid protects system to temperature of external air – 40 With.
