Removal and pallet installation картера

At removal and pallet installation картера except a cross-beam from the chassis both support of the engine should act in film. The engine is necessary for raising the load-lifting mechanism to unload support. The forward part of the car should be lifted and put on supports.

1. Remove a pallet guard картера.
2. Remove a cross-beam in a forward part of the car.
3. Turn away bolts, remove the left and right support of the engine and raise the engine. Watch to clamping the cooling fan.
4. Turn away bolts and disconnect the left and right beams of the bridge from a longitudinal beam. Lower the bridge on the garage lift for gleam increase under the pallet картера.
5. Turn out a drain stopper from the bottom part of the pallet картера.
6. Turn away bolts and remove the bottom part of the pallet картера. After that disconnect the top part картера. Remove маслоприемную a grid if it is necessary.
7. Carefully clear all interfaced surfaces of old hermetic.
8. Grease with hermetic the left and right planes of interface with картером a drive of the mechanism of distribution and a place on a back cover of the radical bearing.
9. Put on the pallet картера a lining (having greased with its small amount консистентной greasings for fastening) and press the pallet картера to the block of cylinders. Bolts in regular intervals on a circle tighten the moment of 8 Nanometers. Establish the bottom part of the pallet картера.
10. Lower the engine on suspension brackets and fix bolts both support (52 Nanometers).
11. In summary fill the engine with necessary quantity of impellent oil.

Removal and installation of the oil pump

Removal and installation of the oil pump is made also, as for the engine of 2.0 l till 1997 of release. The difference consists that it is not necessary to remove a gear belt. The pallet картера is necessary for removing.

1. At installation it is necessary to grease bolts of fastening of a pipe маслопровода with means for carving fixing "Loctite". It is necessary to maintain the inhaling moments.

Repair of the oil pump

Despite distinction in a design of gear wheels in this case concerning repair the instructions resulted on above operate. At the oil pump of the engine of 2.4 l are applied прямозубые gear wheels.

1. For measurement of an axial backlash in the pump put a steel ruler on the case of the pump and measure щупом a backlash, as is shown in иллюстр. The backlash should make 0.10 – 0.20 mm. If it leaves for the specified limits, a pump cover replace.

3. At replacement of gear wheels/shaft it is important. For this reason it is necessary to check up, whether there are marks 0.2 in a place shown on иллюстр. Marks specify for the increased repair size.
4. Before installation the pump cover is greased with hermetic. Bolts tighten in regular intervals on a circle. Before pump installation turn out a stopper and fill the pump with oil to exclude its work dry at the first start-up. After that a stopper again screw.

Epiploon of the oil pump

1. If from the forward party of the engine leaks in most cases they are a consequence of infringement of tightness of epiploons of a cranked shaft are visible. The epiploon can be replaced without engine removal as it has been described on above. At the engine of 2.0 l and engine DOHC the epiploon is in the case of the oil pump, at the engine of 2.4 l – in a cover картера a distribution drive.
For epiploon removal punch sharp оправкой a small aperture in it, screw in it саморез (or two, lying opposite each other самореза) and pull out an epiploon flat-nose pliers.
Grease a working edge and an external surface of a new epiploon and запрессуйте it by means of a pipe leaning against an external contour, in the pump case.
