CHOICE OF GRADES OF FUEL

Petrol engines

Quality of gasoline filled in the car makes essential impact on efficiency of return of the engine and engine service life. Any application of additives to fuel has the important role also. Try to fill the car only first-rate quality fuel in which structure all necessary additives and additives are included.
Use of fuel with too low октановым number leads to detonation occurrence

Diesel models

Refuelling of diesel models should be made only qualitative дизтопливом, meeting the requirements of standard DIN EN 590. At all do not apply to refuelling of the car the fuel intended for use in sea diesel engines, top internal black oil and so forth oil fuel.
Use usual дизтоплива is unacceptable in the winter in view of crystallisation in it of paraffin leading to a contamination of atomizers and the fuel filter. At use firm winter дизтоплива addition to it of any temperature additives in cold weather is not required. For successful application in the winter summer дизтоплива in it it is necessary to add a few kerosene or to take advantage of special additives.

The remark

Already crystallising paraffin does not give in to dissolution.

For use summer дизтоплива in the conditions of an ambient temperature from 0°С to-15°S, it is necessary to dilute it with kerosene in a proportion 80/20. At air temperatures in a range from-15°S to - 25°С in the same proportions it is necessary to add kerosene in winter дизтопливо.

FEATURES OF THE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM OF DIESEL MODELS

At a devastation of a fuel tank of diesel models before start of the engine after refuelling it is necessary to remove air from the power supply system. If possibility to address for the help in dealer branch or company Opel service-centre is absent, operate in a following order:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Fill the car дизтопливом.
	2. A screw-driver on a half-turn release the gate of prorolling of the fuel filter.
	3. Slowly and in regular intervals turn the pumping pump manually until through the prorolling gate there is a free fuel from bubbles.
4. Tighten the gate.
5. Some more time turn the pumping pump manually that fuel is guaranteed has reached ТНВД, - simultaneously check up, whether there are no signs of external leaks.

It is necessary to delete accumulating moisture from the fuel filter of the power supply system of the diesel engine periodically. The given procedure usually is made simultaneously with replacement of the oil filter. At operation of the car in the conditions of the raised humidity, extreme temperatures or strong temperature differences between day and night values, check of the fuel filter should be made whenever possible more often.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

	1. Release on one turn a plastic drain stopper from below on assemblage of the filter and merge water.
	2. If water does not leave the filter самотеком, shake manually the pumping pump (as at removal from air system).

ADDITIONAL DATA ON OPERATION OF DIESEL MODELS WITH THE TURBO-SUPERCHARGING

For the quality assurance of greasing of bearings турбокомпрессора it is necessary to adhere to following service regulations of the diesel models equipped with a turbo-supercharging:
  – Try not to suppose long idle times of the engine;
  – Do not begin car operation, without having warmed up the engine in the sufficient image;
  – At end of a long trip with the big speeds or high loadings on the engine before switching-off of the last it is necessary to allow to it to work during some time for single turns:
     • at speed on a route over 80 km/h (50 miles/ch) = 30 сек
     • at speed over 100 km/h (60 miles/ch) = 60 сек
     • at movement in mountain district or long movement with a speed over 100 km/h = 120 сек
