The storage battery
Established 12 In the battery in capacity or Ach, or at desire or Ach consists of six банок, containing positive and negative plates which are lowered in a solution of sulfuric acid. The battery problem includes production of a current for start of the car, ignition and for illumination, and also for other consumers of the electric power.
Care of the battery
From time to time it is necessary to make following works that the battery served longer and its capacity was supported by the maximum.

| 1. Always contain the battery and details surrounding it in cleanliness. The battery surface should be always dry as differently between separate banks there can be superficial currents of leak because of what the battery is discharged in itself. |
| 2. In cold weather not to leave the battery in not charged condition as differently it will freeze. Poorly charged batteries freeze before the charged. |
3. The storage battery does not demand service, i.e. the additive of electrolit and gauging of its density is not required. In the top part of the storage battery there is an index. Change of colour of the index provides guidance on degrees разряженности batteries. If the index shows green colour, the storage battery is charged, the car can be maintained. In process of the category of the battery colour of the index darkens, and gradually becomes black that specifies in necessity of gymnastics.
If colour of the index absolutely disappears or becomes yellow it specifies in fall of level of electrolit as a result of its evaporation or long operation. It is impossible to use such storage battery. The battery should be replaced. |

At installation of other storage battery demanding service, for its maintenance in an efficient condition the following is necessary:

| 1. Clear external surfaces of the battery and wipe them dry as it protects it from occurrence of currents of leak between separate sections. Leak currents lead to the battery self-category (it is recommended to spend also for the storage battery which are not demanding service). |

2. Electrolit level should be between marks in an outer side of the case of the storage battery (иллюстр.). To add the battery it is necessary only the distilled water.
Do not leave the storage battery in the discharged condition, since. It can freeze. The discharged battery freezes faster, than charged (it concerns as well to the battery which are not demanding service). |

Removal and installation of the storage battery

1. The storage battery is in an impellent compartment and fastens on the console, as is shown in иллюстр.
Disconnect a cable of weight (1) from the storage battery. The wrench is for this purpose used.
2 - washers;
3 - a positive cable;
4 - a fixing lath. |
| 2. Disconnect a positive cable from the battery. |
| 3. Turn away a nut of long bolts of fastening of a lath and remove a lath. |
| 4. Take out the battery from an impellent compartment. Cautiously address with the battery. |

The battery in sequence, by return to removal is established. Positive, then the negative cable at first joins.
At battery installation at first smooth out contacts, and then grease with their special greasing. |
