Do not try to wash out filtering element of an air cleaner. The paper of which the element is made, is impregnated by the special nonflammable, slowly evaporating viscous liquid doing it cold-resistant and prolonging service life of an element. |
The dirt sticks to the viscous liquid filling porous structure of a paper that interferes with its penetration in an inlet path. Element washing involves loss of impregnation and, - as consequence, - appreciable decrease in efficiency of functioning of an air cleaner.
1. Replacement of a filtering element is made regularly according to the schedule of routine maintenance of the car. During operation of the car the filter condition should be checked often enough, in particular in the conditions of strongly dusty district.
2. On models 2.0 and 2.5 l the air cleaner is fixed in a back part of an impellent compartment on the partition centre, on l models 3.0 – in the right back corner.
3. Give bolts of fastening of an air cleaner to basic drains (to model 2.0 and 2.5), release spring clamps of a cover of an air cleaner, disconnect all procedures stirring to performance hoses and uncover, - try not to admit falling in a casing of an air cleaner of extraneous subjects.

4. Take filtering element and wipe internal walls of a casing pure rags. |
5. Visually estimate a condition of a filtering element, in case of strong pollution make replacement.

In order to avoid premature deterioration of internal components of the engine and occurrence of flashes in a final path do not maintain the car with the taken air filter! |
6. Establish a replaceable filtering element, track correctness of its landing in a casing.

7. Make assemblage in an order, the return to removal. Fixing bolts tighten with demanded effort.

On l models 3.0 before installation of a cover of an air cleaner get lock uvulas from the back party of a cover in reception grooves of a casing, then latch clamps. |
