The general information

The display lamp built in an instrument guard, the module of management of an immobilizer, the engine management module concern number of components of system иммобилизации the engine (ECM), built in a key head транспондер and a part of assemblage of the cylinder of the lock of ignition the antenna module.


The antenna module at key introduction in the ignition lock accepts transferred транспондером an identification code and transfers it to the module of management of an immobilizer which compares it to the reference code registered in the memory. At discrepancy of codes поворачивание a key in position ST will lead to start of the engine which, however, will spontaneously decay after already some seconds.

Immobilizer activation occurs automatically at extraction of a key from the ignition lock, and also later an order of 60 seconds after поворачивания a key in position АСС or OFF. At infringement of serviceability of functioning of an immobilizer the display lamp continues to be shone after поворачивания the ignition key in position ON.

At replacement of the module of ignition, replacement of keys or acquisition of an additional key, it is necessary to make procedure of its adaptation of operating elements of system. The procedure essence consists in initialization of an immobilizer and a re-registration of an identification code. System initialization leads to clearing of memory of the module of management then can be registered to four new keys (транспондеров).

Each complete set of keys (no more than 4 pieces) should be registered only on one module of management. Told means that at replacement of the module registration of old keys on the replaceable module is not represented possible and all complete set also is subject to replacement.

Registration of keys should be made in the conditions of a firm car repair shop with application of firm input reader Subaru (SSM) and the special software access to which of privacy reasons is strictly limited.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Prepare special firm input reader Subaru (SSM), - connect to it a diagnostic cable, establish a cartridge.
2. Connect an input reader cable to located at the left under the panel of devices to diagnostic socket DLC.
3. Include ignition (the engine do not start) and activate food SSM.
4. In the main screen menu (Main Menu) SSM choose point {Each System Check} and press a key «YES».
5. In subsection {System Selection Menu} choose point {Engine Control System}, confirm a choice with key pressing «YES».
6. After on the screen the information on engine type will be deduced press a key «YES» once again.
7. In the field {Engine Diagnosis} choose point {Diagnostic Code (s)} and press a key «YES».
8. Depending on a task in view choose in the field {Diagnostic Code (s) Display} the screen point {Current Diagnostic Code (s)} (Current diagnostic codes) or {History Diagnostic Code (s)} (Background), - confirm a choice with key pressing «YES».
9. Consider codes displayed the display and make necessary corrections. List DTC is resulted in Specifications in the beginning of the Head.


Clearing of memory of the processor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Enter into subsection {Engine Control System}.
2. After on the screen the information on engine type will be deduced press a key «YES».
3. In the field {Engine Diagnosis} choose point {Clean Memory} and press a key «YES».
4. After a conclusion to the screen of the display of the message «Done» It (is executed) and «Turn Ignition Switch OFF» (Switch off ignition) disconnect SSM and switch off ignition.
5. After clearing of memory of the processor it is necessary to make initialization of system of stabilisation of turns of idling (ISC), - turn the ignition key in position ON and, after not less than 3 seconds, start the engine (only models with АТ).

Interface check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 The line of communication between the module of management of an immobilizer and ECM can be checked up in a mode {System Operation Check Mode} SSM («interface check»).

1. Connect SSM and in menu subsection {System Operation Check Mode} choose point {Immobilizer System}, - the kind of screen SSM on termination of the given procedure is presented on an illustration.

2. The conclusion to the screen of the display of the message «Communication Line not Shorted», confirms serviceability of the interface if the message is not deduced, execute check on code P1572 (see more low), make necessary corrections.


Check of a chain of a display lamp of an immobilizer

The scheme of connection of a display lamp of an immobilizer is presented on an illustration.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Switch off ignition, disconnect electroconducting from the module of management of an immobilizer, connect the resistor on 750 Ohm between the plug № 9 contact sockets of electroconducting of the module of management and weight of the chassis. If the display lamp is not activated, following three stages of check can be lowered.
2. Measure resistance between plugs №№ 2 (+) and 3 (+) socket В141 of the module of management and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise eliminate breakage in a chain of grounding of the module of management.
3. Include ignition (the engine do not start) and measure pressure between the plug № 12 (+) socket В141 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of signs of breakage and short circuit electroconducting on a chain site between the module of management of an immobilizer and the ignition switch.
4. Switch off ignition and measure pressure between plugs №№ 10 (+) and 11 (+) socket В141 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, replace the management module (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components of system иммобилизации the engine), otherwise check up on presence of signs of breakage and short circuit electroconducting on a chain site between the module of management of an immobilizer and a safety lock.
5. Remove a combination of devices and measure pressure between the plug № 7 (+) a socket i12 (4-cylinder models) / №№ 9 (+) and 1 (+) sockets i10 and i12 accordingly (6-cylinder models) and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of signs of breakage and short circuit electroconducting on a chain site between a combination of devices and a safety lock.
6. Measure resistance between the plug № 9 sockets В141 and the plug № 1 socket i12 (4-cylinder models) / № 13 sockets i10 (6-cylinder models). If the result of measurement makes more than 10 Ohm, replace the combination printed-circuit board приоров with the failed light-emitting diode of a display lamp, otherwise repair electroconducting / a contact socket.


Check of a chain of the alarm switch of a key

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect electroconducting from the alarm switch. Turn a key in the ignition lock in position АСС or LOCK and measure pressure between the plug № 2 (+) socket В74 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of signs of breakage and short circuit electroconducting on a chain site between the alarm switch and a safety lock.

2. Turn a key in the ignition lock in position OFF or АСС and measure resistance between plugs № 1 and № 2 contact sockets of the alarm switch. If the result of measurement makes less than 1 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace the alarm switch.
3. Take a key from the lock of ignition and repeat the previous check. If the result of measurement makes more than 1 МОм, pass to the check final stage, otherwise replace the alarm switch.
4. Disconnect electroconducting from the alarm switch and the module of management of an immobilizer. Measure resistance between the plug № 1 socket В74 and the plug № 4 sockets В141. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, replace the management module (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components of system иммобилизации the engine), pass to a following stage of check, otherwise repair electroconducting on a chain site between the alarm switch and the management module.


Discrepancy of an identification code (DTC Р1571)

Execute procedure of registration of a key. If to register a key it is not possible, replace the module of management of an immobilizer (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components of system иммобилизации the engine) and ECM (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).

Infringement in a line of communication between ECM and the module of management of an immobilizer (DTC Р1572)

Switch off ignition, disconnect electroconducting from the module of management of an immobilizer and measure pressure between plugs №№ 10 (+) and 11 (+) socket В141 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement leaves more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of signs of breakage and short circuit electroconducting on a chain site between the module of management and a safety lock.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Include ignition (the engine do not start) and measure pressure between the plug № 12 (+) socket В141 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement leaves more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of signs of breakage and short circuit electroconducting on a chain site between the module of management and the ignition switch.
2. Switch off ignition and measure resistance between plugs №№ 2 (+) and 3 (+) socket В141 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement leaves less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise eliminate breakage in a chain of grounding of the module of management of an immobilizer.
3. Disconnect electroconducting from modules of management of an immobilizer and the engine and measure resistance between the plug № 1 socket В141 and № 22 (4-cylinder models) / № 5 (6-cylinder models) socket В135. If the result of measurement leaves less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise eliminate electroconducting breakage on a chain site between management modules.
4. Measure resistance between the plug № 6 sockets В141 and № 23 (4-cylinder models) / № 14 (6-cylinder models) socket В135. If the result of measurement leaves less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise eliminate electroconducting breakage on a chain site between management modules.
5. Include ignition (the engine do not start) and measure pressure between plugs №№ 1 (+) and 6 (+) socket В141 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes 0 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise eliminate the short circuit reason (in a line of giving of a food or ignition) electroconductings on a chain site between management modules.
6. Measure pressure between plugs №№ 22 (+) and 23 (+) (4-cylinder models)/5 (+) and 14 (+) (6-cylinder models) and weight of the power unit. If the result of measurement makes 0 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise eliminate the short circuit reason (in a line of giving of a food or ignition) electroconductings on a chain site between management modules.
7. Connect electroconducting to ECM and disconnect it from the module of management of an immobilizer and execute interface check. At a conclusion to the screen of the monitor of the message on short circuit of a line of communication to weight/battery (Commun. Line Shorted to Ground/Battery) replace ECM (see the Head of the Power supply system and release) and execute procedure of adaptation of elements of an immobilizer. If on the screen the message «Communication Line not Shorted» is deduced, replace the module of management of an immobilizer (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components of system иммобилизации the engine).

 The conclusion to the screen of the monitor of the message about таймауте («Check (Time Out)») means necessity of repetition of check of the interface.


Infringement of serviceability of communications of a key (DTC Р1574)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

44 Insert a key into the ignition lock (in position LOCK) and trace pressure change between plugs №№ 1 and 2 contact sockets В142 of the antenna module of an immobilizer. 45 Take a key from the lock of ignition and make attempt of start of the engine by other registered key. If the engine is started, replace a faulty key (complete with транспондером) and register replaceable, otherwise replace the management module (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components of system иммобилизации the engine).


Attempt of use of a key with not registered транспондером (DTC Р0153)

Execute procedure of registration of all complete set of keys, in case of need replace all complete set, or replace the management module (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components of system иммобилизации the engine).

Refusal of re-recorded ROM (EEPROM) ECM (DTC Р1576)

Replace ECM (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).

Infringement of serviceability of functioning of the antenna module of an immobilizer (DTC Р1570)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Switch off ignition, disconnect electroconducting of the antenna module from the module of management and measure resistance between plugs № 1 and № 2 Sockets В142. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace the antenna module.

2. Measure resistance between plugs №№ 1 both 2 sockets В142 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace the antenna module.
3. Include ignition and measure pressure between the plug № 1 (+) socket В142 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes 0 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace the antenna module.
4. Include ignition and measure pressure between the plug № 2 (+) socket В142 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes 0 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise repair electroconducting on a chain site between the module management and the immobilizer aerial.
5. Switch off ignition, connect aerial electroconducting to the management module, insert a key into the lock of ignition and trace pressure change between plugs №№ 1 and 2 contact sockets В142 of the antenna module of an immobilizer. During approximately 0.1 with the ambassador of introduction of a key pressure should lie in a range-30 ÷ 30 V.Esli after nearby 1 about pressure vanishes (0), pass to the check final stage, otherwise. Replace the module of management of an immobilizer (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components of system иммобилизации the engine).
6. Take a key from the lock and make attempt of start of the engine by other key with registered транспондером. If the engine is started, replace a faulty key (complete with транспондером) and register replaceable, otherwise replace the management module (see Has undressed Removal and installation of components of system иммобилизации the engine).
