The general information

The structure of a combination of devices includes a speedometer, a tachometre, a measuring instrument of a stock of fuel, a measuring instrument of temperature of the engine, and also various control lamps and light indicators.

Principle of functioning of components

Control lamps and light indicators

The scheme of functioning of control lamps and light is presented in table 26.

Speedometer

 Cкорость 60 km/h correspond to development of 2548 alarm impulses in a minute.


On all cars considered in the present Management the speedometer of electric type using as the entering information signals, speeds developed by the gauge (VSS) (4 impulses on one turn of a conducted shaft of the gauge), - models with Manual transmission, or the module of management of transmission (TCM), - models with АТ is used. The scheme of the organisation of a drive of a speedometer is presented on an illustration.

 Signals of speed from VSS/TCM stand out also on engine management modules (ECM) and темпостата.


Refusal of application rotating drive a cable as on speedometers with a mechanical drive, allows to lower level of the noise background published by transmission and also to avoid such unpleasant moments, as a detachment of tips of a cable and vibration стрелочного the index.

The gauge of speed (VSS)

The inductive gauge of the Hall is put in a basis of design VSS. The gauge is established on картере transmissions and traces frequency of rotation of a target shaft of last, generating 4 alarm impulses on one turn of a shaft роторной gear wheels.

Rotation drive a key forces to rotate a magnetic ring that leads to change of a magnetic field of the gauge of the Hall which starts to develop corresponding alarm impulses (on 4 on one turn of a key), given out on a combination of devices, ECM and the management module темпостата.

Tachometre

The chain of a drive of a tachometre is connected to a contour of monitoring of turns of engine ECM. Change of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine leads to directly proportional change to pressure in a contour, to in turn leading change of magnetic force in a winding of a drive of a tachometre.

Measuring instrument of temperature of a cooling liquid

The temperature measuring instrument concerns type of measuring instruments with crossing windings.

The information on temperature of a cooling liquid arrives from the thermosensitive element established on the engine which resistance changes according to changes of temperature of the under control environment. Current strength change involves measurement of magnetic force of a winding and forces to move on the demanded size стрелочный the measuring instrument index.

At normal working temperature of the engine (70 ÷ 100 °С) the arrow of a measuring instrument should be approximately in an average part of a working range of the scale put on a dial.

Measuring instrument of a stock of fuel and the indicator of the minimum stock

Gauges of a stock of fuel are located in the main and auxiliary chambers of a fuel tank and have поплавковую a design.

Resistance of a potentiometer of the gauge changes proportionally to change of position of a float (see table 27).

 The measuring instrument of the expense of fuel continues to give out indications even at the ignition key turned in position LOCK.

Necessity for use of two gauges speaks design features of a structure of the fuel tank divided into two sections (main and auxiliary) in connection with necessity of maintenance of a place under a lining карданного a shaft.

The processor of a combination of devices continuously traces the resistive signal developed by the gauge of a stock of fuel and at lowering of resistance to a critical mark (approximately 7.6 Ohm) and its keeping at the given level during an order of 10 minutes/on an extent of run of 10 km provides activation of the indicator built in in an instrument guard.

Equipped built in термистором the gauge of temperature of external air gives out the information on user CPU which (at the included ignition) compares the introduction data to last registered indication of the gauge kept in its memory at deenergizing of ignition (if that was made no more 60 minutes ago) and displays the tachometre of the liquid crystal display built in assemblage minimum of two indications. If last deenergizing of ignition was made more 60 minutes ago, CPU displays the display the indication registered by the gauge.

At slow speed of movement of the car the stream of heat developed by the power unit influences indications of the gauge of temperature, however CPU at reception from VSS/TCM a signal corresponding to speed of movement below 10 km/h provides a conclusion to the screen of the display of last value kept in its memory when speed of movement of the car made more than 10 km/h.
