Removal, check of a condition and installation карданного the hinge of a steering column

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Tyre out the car on the lift.
2. Result forward wheels of the car in rectilinear position and remove a steering wheel (see Has undressed Removal and steering wheel installation).
3. Lift the car.

4. Turn out fixing bolts and remove карданный the hinge of a steering shaft, preliminary having marked its adjusting position.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Carefully wipe the hinge pure rags and examine on presence of signs of mechanical damages. Manually estimate degree of deterioration of bearings крестовины карданного the hinge, - in case of revealing a little appreciable axial люфта replace шарнирную assemblage. Also check up effort of resistance of the hinge to rotation (see in the same place), - limiting admissible value makes 0.3 Nanometers.

2. By means of a dynamometer measure sizes of efforts of resistance of knees of the hinge to bending.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make sure of straightforwardness of installation of forward wheels, then, having tracked correctness of combination болтовых apertures of a long collar шарнирной assemblages with reception sample, plant a long collar of the hinge on the end of a steering shaft equipped with notches.
2. A short collar of the hinge plant a pin of a shaft of a leading gear wheel of the steering mechanism (also equipped with notches), - besides track correctness of combination болтовых apertures with reception sample in a pin.
3. Lower the hinge down to an emphasis and temporarily establish and tighten a bolt of fastening of a short collar, - checks of correctness of landing of a bolt in sample pull the hinge upwards.
4. Tighten with demanded effort (24 Nanometers) a coupling bolt of a long collar, then with the same effort definitively tighten a bolt of a short collar.

 The tightening of coupling bolts of collars карданного the hinge with excessive effort is fraught with difficulties at steering wheel rotation! The size of a landing backlash between the hinge of double indemnification and the steering mechanism should make not less than 15 mm.

5. The further installation is made in an order, the return to an order of dismantle of components.
