Order of dismantling of the engine by its preparation for major repairs

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Most easier to carry out engine dismantling, having established it on the portable assembly stand. The design of the stand offered by company Subaru, is presented on illustrations. The such adaptation always can be borrowed rather cheaply in a car-care centre workshop. Before to fix the engine at the stand, it is necessary to remove from it a flywheel/privodnoj a disk and a back epiploon.

2. If possibility to take advantage of the stand is absent, dismantling should be made, having placed the engine on a strong workbench, or reliably having arranged it on firm to a garage floor. At work without the stand watch that the engine casually has not overturned.
3. If it is planned to make replacement of the engine on restored, remove with old all hinged units and external components and transfer them on the replaceable block. In number such, subject to shift, components enter:

a) the Inlet pipeline;
b) the Generator with arms;
c) the Steering pump with a basic arm;
d) Compressor K/V;
e) Components of system of ignition;
f) the Thermostat;
g) Components of system of injection of fuel;
h) the Oil filter;
i) coupling Assemblage (Manual transmission);
j) Plaits of electroconducting of the engine;
k) Spark plugs;
l) Masloohladitel;
m) the Flywheel/privodnoj a disk.
n) Components of systems of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases.

 At removal from the old engine of external components try to remember prominent features of their installation. Fix in a notebook landing positions of linings, epiploons, remote rings and plugs, pins, arms, washers, bolts and other fine details.


4. At a choice of the scheme with use of the reduced set of the block consisting of the block of cylinders with established in it by cranked shaft and shatunno-piston groups, remove from the old unit also a head () cylinders, the pallet картера and the oil pump (possible alternatives of schemes of performance of major repairs see in Section Alternative variants of schemes of regenerative repair of the engine).
5. Before carrying out of full major repairs remove following components:

a) the Inlet pipeline;
b) the Generator;
c) Compressor K/V;
d) the Steering pump;
e) Perepusknoj a branch pipe/hose of the water pump;
f) Components of system of ignition (including candles);
g) Tube EGR;
h) the detonation Gauge;
i) Gauges of position cranked and camshafts (CMP and CKP);
j) the detonation Gauge (KS);
k) the Gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid (ECT);
l) the Gauge-switch of pressure of oil;
m) the Gauge-switch of pressure of impellent oil;
n) the Oil filter and маслоохладитель.
6. At carrying out of full major repairs of the old unit, make its dismantling and take all internal components. The optimum order of removal of components is more low resulted at performance of procedure of dismantling of the engine:

a) Covers of heads of cylinders;
b) Covers of drive ГРМ with bolts;
c) Components of drive ГРМ (газораспределительный a belt/chain with gear wheels/asterisks);
d) Assemblages коромысел with camshafts;
e) Heads of cylinders;
f) the Water pump;
g) the Pallet картера;
h) Maslozabornik with the mesh filter;
i) the Oil pump;
j) Shatunno-piston assemblages;
k) the Back epiploon of a cranked shaft;
l) the Cranked shaft and radical bearings;
7. Before to start engine dismantling, prepare materials and tools which be required at service and unit assemblage:

a) the Standard set of the metalwork tool;
b) the Set of cardboard or plastic containers / polyethylene packages for the organised storage of small components;
c) the Scraper for зачистки interfaced surfaces;
d) the Vertical drill for removal of step deterioration in the top part of cylinders;
e) the Stripper for dismantle of a pulley of a cranked shaft / vibrating демпфера;
f) the Set of micrometers;
g) Telescopic нутромер;
h) Tsiferblatnyj a measuring instrument плунжерного type (DTI);
i) the Tool for compression клапанных springs;
