The switches located on a steering column
Assemblage подрулевых switches is located on a steering column of the car, is direct under a steering wheel, from above on a column there is a push-button switch of parking fires.

Choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices

The choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices (dimensions, a passing light) is made by means of located on the lever end подрулевого the switch of the rotary handle. There is a possibility of a choice of one of three modes of external illumination: |
OFF it is switched off.
Dimensional fires - join forward and back dimensional fires, lanterns of illumination of licence plate.
The passing light - in additives to involved in the previous position of the handle to fires joins a passing light of head headlights.
On the models equipped with system of running fires of day time of days (DRL), head headlights are automatically translated in a passing light mode at ignition inclusion. Also back dimensional fires are automatically activated.
The majority of models is equipped by the alarm buzzer serving for the prevention of the driver about necessity of switching-off of illumination before an exit from the car. The buzzer works at attempt of opening of a driver's door at the switched off ignition (a key in position LOCK or АСС) in a case if the handle of a choice of a mode of external illumination is not translated in position "Vykl" (OFF).

Remember that excessively long functioning of external illumination at the muffled engine is fraught подсадкой the storage battery! |
Switching of modes of functioning of head headlights (a passing light/headlight
|
|
Transfer of head headlights from a passing light mode in a headlight mode is made by отжимания the lever подрулевого the switch from itself, - automatically on an instrument guard the corresponding control lamp of characteristic dark blue light (see Has undressed the Arrangement of working elements) should light up. For headlight switching-off return the lever in a starting position. |
Possibility of the alarm system is provided by a headlight also: the alarm system is carried out by lever procrastination подрулевого the switch on itself and irrespective of the chosen position of the handle of a choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices (see above).

The alarm system a headlight remains possible even at the switched off ignition. |
Indexes of turns
|
|
Activation of indexes of turns is made by отжимания the lever left подрулевого the switch in a corresponding direction. The lever is translated upwards or downwards, in dependence of the chosen direction of a course change. |
While translating the lever in extreme top/bottom position (before click) corresponding indexes of turns will continue to function until the steering wheel will not be returned in rectilinear position (will work the terminal switch) or while the lever will not be returned in neutral position.
Short-term inclusion of indexes, for example, at intention to replace рядность movements is made by easy procrastination of the lever upwards or downwards.
Brightness control of illumination of devices
Brightness control of illumination of devices is carried out only in positions and the rotary handle of a choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices.

The ring regulator of intensity of illumination is located also on the lever of the left steering switch. |
The switch of parking fires
Parking fires of the car function without dependence from position of the switch of ignition.

Simultaneously with parking fires lanterns of illumination of licence plate join also.

The switch of cleaners and windscreen washers
Activation of cleaners and washers of the wind is possible only at the included ignition (a key in position ON or АСС).
For management of cleaners/washers of glasses one of two types of switches is used.
The switch of the first type

The first type of the switch is used for management of screen wipers without possibility of adjustment of duration of pauses of an interval mode. In this case the lever подрулевого the switch is not equipped with the rotary ring handle. The choice of a mode of functioning of cleaners is made by lever transfer in one of four possible positions:
OFF it is switched off
Interval mode
LO низкоскоростной a mode
HI a high-speed mode |
Possibility of unitary operation of cleaners is provided also, - it is enough to delay slightly the lever подрулевого the switch on itself. The given function appears especially useful at movement in a fog or under a drizzle.

Inclusion of washers of glass is made by means of built in an end face of the handle of the lever of the push-button switch, - the liquid will move on glass until the switch button remains pressed.
|
|
Giving of a washing liquid is accompanied by several cycles of operation of screen wipers. |
|
The switch of the second type
|
|
The switch of the given type provides possibility of adjustment of duration of pauses of an interval mode. The mentioned adjustment is carried out by rotation of the ring switch which has been built in the central part of the handle of the lever подрулевого of the switch. Inclusion of all functions is made also as well as on the switch of the first type. |
The switch of a cleaner and washer of back glass (Legacy the Versatile person and Outback)
Cleaner/washer of back glass are activated only at the included ignition (a key will turn in position ON or АСС).

|
Cleaner inclusion is made by rotation of the face handle of the lever right подрулевого the switch. The cleaner has only one operating conditions of functioning: interval which inclusion is made by transfer of the handle from position OFF in position ON by rotation clockwise. |
For giving on back glass of a washing liquid at a working screen wiper it is necessary to turn the handle in extreme top position (), - the liquid will move on glass until the handle will not be released.
Giving possibility on glass of a washing liquid without start of screen wipers is provided also, - turn the lever handle counter-clockwise, - the liquid will move until the handle will not be released.
Safety measures at using cleaners and washers of glasses
Attempts of start of screen wipers at the brushes which have frozen slightly to glass are fraught with an electromotor exit out of operation as a result of an overheat, - glass preliminary should be cleared of ice/snow and to warm up a way blowing hot air (Part D of the present Chapter see).
Avoid activation of cleaners at a dry surface of glass, is it is fraught with occurrence of scratches on glass, and also appreciably reduces service life of rubber working elements of brushes.
It is not necessary to include a washer continuously more than for 20 seconds, also avoid inclusion of washers at the empty tank, is it is fraught with failure drive the electromotor of the submitting pump. Periodically check liquid level in the tank, in case of need make corresponding updating (Routine maintenance see the Head).
In a cold season fill in in the tank of washers of glasses only special cold-resistant structures, - freezing of a washing liquid can lead to failure of the tank and tubes of a submitting path.
Before use of washers in cold weather preliminary warm up glass, - the glass icing can lead to dangerous deterioration of the review to the driver.

Antifog headlights can be activated only at included dimensional fires (active positions of the switch of modes of external lighting devices) and are automatically disconnected at deenergizing of the last. For activation of antifog headlights press the button built in the panel of devices of the switch. The control lamp reminding to the driver is built in the switch button that antifog headlights remain included. Switching-off of headlights is carried out by repeated pressing the button. |
The switch of back foggy lanterns

|
Activation of back foggy lanterns becomes possible only at the included head and-or forward antifog headlights (at a corresponding complete set). For inclusion of foggy lanterns press the button built in in the panel of devices of the switch (directly under the button of inclusion of antifog headlights). The control lamp reminding to the driver is built in the button that foggy lanterns remain included, on an instrument guard of the car the corresponding control lamp (see above) also lights up. Switching-off of lanterns is carried out by repeated pressing the button.

Foggy lanterns are disconnected automatically together with head headlights/ignitions, and their subsequent activation probably only by means of a switch reuse. |
|
Regulator of an inclination of optical axes of head headlights For adjustment of a distance of illumination (at passing light inclusion) not to blind drivers of counter cars, it is possible to use a regulator of an inclination of optical axes of headlights.
|
|
The regulator should be established in position (according to table 1), corresponding to quantity of passengers and degree of loading of the car. |

The alarm system switch

|
Alarm system inclusion is made by means of the push-button switch built in in the central part of the panel of devices of the car between дефлекторами of the central air lines and usually equipped with an alarm lamp with the pictogramme, representing two triangles entered each other. |
Alarm system inclusion leads to simultaneous operation of all four indexes of turns (and their control lamps on an instrument guard of the car). The alarm system is intended for the prevention of other participants of traffic of the compelled stop of the car and used also in other dangerous situations provided by rules of traffic.
The switch of electroheating of back glass / external rear-view mirrors
Electroheating inclusion allows to remove from a surface of back glass of a condensate, hoarfrost, and even thin наледи. The button of inclusion of electroheating is located on the control panel of a central air of air.

On in appropriate way the equipped models simultaneously with heating of back glass joins as well heating of external rear-view mirrors. |
At heating inclusion the light indicator lights up built in the button of the switch.
Heating switching-off is made by repeated pressing the button, or later 15 minutes after inclusion on a signal of the special timer.

Functioning of a heating element becomes possible only in position ON of the switch of ignition. Key transfer in position АСС or LOCK heating is disconnected automatically.
|
Do not forget to check before a start of motion quality of the review through back glass of the car.
The threadlike grid of a heating element of a heater is pasted on an internal surface of back glass and demands care in circulation, - try not to damage a grid at glass wiping. Wiping should be made only along heater threads.
The switch of electroheating of a windscreen in a zone of parking position of brushes
Functioning of heating elements becomes possible only at the included ignition (a key in position ON).
Heating activation is made by means of the special push-button switch equipped with a built in control lamp. Before to include heating remove from a windscreen snow.
Heating switching-off is made by repeated pressing the button, or later 15 minutes after inclusion on a signal of the special timer.

The switch of adjustment of position of rear-view mirrors
|
|
The switch of adjustment of rear-view mirrors is located in the top part of an armrest of a driver's door of the car and consists from selector ползункового the switch of a choice of a subject of adjustment of a mirror and four-directed джойстикового the switch actually adjustments of position of the chosen mirror. |
For a choice of a mirror subject to adjustment translate located in the top part of assemblage ползунковый the switch in corresponding position (R - the right mirror or L - the left mirror). Adjustment of position of the chosen mirror is made by means of four-directed джойстикового the switch in conformity by the arrows represented on it (upwards-downwards/to the right-to the left).
Having finished adjustment, in order to avoid casual failure of adjustment, do not forget to translate the selector switch in neutral (central) position.
The switch of heating of external rear-view mirrors (at a corresponding complete set)

On some models possibility of activation of heating of external rear-view mirrors from the individual push-button switch equipped with a built in control lamp which have been built in in the bottom part of assemblage of management by functioning of the electric drive of mirrors is provided. |
Heating functions only at the included ignition (position ON or АСС the ignition key). For heating switching-off it is necessary to press the button repeatedly, - the control lamp should go out.
Switching of modes салонного rear-view mirrors

The salonnoe rear-view mirror has two fixed positions: day and night. Switching is made by means of built in in the bottom part of a spherical support of a mirror рычажка. |

The fixture is located in a forward part of the ceiling arch of the car and equipped three-position ползунковым by the switch. The switch allows to make illumination switching-off, its inclusion in a constant mode, and also to activate a mode of operation of the fixture at opening of doors. |

One more fixture is established in a car luggage space. The fixture also is equipped three-position ползунковым by the switch, allowing to choose one of three modes of illumination. |
The individual directed fixtures (mate lamps)

|
Activation of the directed fixtures is made by means of the individual push-button switches which have been built in in assemblage of the ceiling console. |
Cigar Lighter
|
|
Cigar Lighter it is built in in the panel of facing of a forward ashtray (see more low) the central section of furnish of the panel of devices, to the right of a forward ashtray and functions only at the included ignition (a key in position ON or АСС). |
For activation прикуривателя simply drown its button in a reception nest against the stop, - after warming up of a heating element the button will automatically jump out in a starting position.

|
At all do not keep the button прикуривателя in the pressed position by force! If the button прикуривателя after pressing does not jump out after more than 30 seconds, the car should be driven away on a car repair shop for elimination of taking place malfunction. After use do not forget to return the button in a nest (in order to avoid a contamination of the last). |
The reception nest прикуривателя can be used for connection of external consumers of the electric power (the pump, зарядное the device for a radio telephone, a vacuum cleaner), calculated on a food in 12 In and with capacity of consumption no more than 120 Vt.
Ashtrays
Forward ashtray

The sliding forward ashtray is built in in the central (console) section of furnish of the panel of devices. |
For ashtray opening pull it on itself.
To take an ashtray for procleaning extend it outside against the stop, then wring out a lock uvula and liberate from a reception niche.
Back ashtrays

The back ashtray has a folding design and is built in in a back face wall of the central console. |
For ashtray extraction extend it against the stop, wring out a lock uvula and liberate from a reception niche.
Ware boxes
The main ware box

|
The main ware box is located on the right under the panel of devices of the car and equipped by the lock. |
For box opening pull upwards the handle of its lock. In a box illumination is provided automatically joining at opening of a door.
Watch, that during movement the cover of a ware box has been densely closed.
Box on the central console

|
In a back part of the central console one more ware box, in the closed condition carrying out also an armrest role is provided. For cover opening simply pull its first line upwards. |
Coasters
The collapsible coaster is built in in the panel of devices more to the right of the control panel by functioning of a central air of air. The order of use of the given coaster is shown on сопр. Illustrations.

One stationary coaster is provided in the central part of console assemblage, sideways from the lever of raising of a lay brake. |
|
|
Two more sliding coasters are located under a cover in a back part of the central console, is direct under a back ashtray. |
Sun-protection peaks

|
Sun-protection peaks provide protection of eyes of the driver / the forward passenger from blinding by direct solar beams both in front, and sideways. |

|
In a passenger sun-protection peak the toilet pocket mirror equipped with a folding cover is built in addition in. Opening of a cover of a pocket mirror at the included ignition (a key in position ON or АСС) leads to activation of illumination of a pocket mirror. |
Hooks for clothes

On models Legacy the Sedan hooks for clothes hanging are fixed on the loopy handles located along upper edges of apertures of back doors of the car. |

On models Legacy the Versatile person and Outback besides hooks on loopy handles over apertures of back doors two more hooks from both parties of a luggage space are provided. |
